The event and the team

GopherCon UK is organised by a small team that aims to bring over 400 leading Go developers together for 3 days of talks, workshops, networking, and socials.

A three day event with one workshop day

GopherCon UK is a three day event with one workshop day (August 14th) and two multi-track conference days (August 15th and 16th), held at The Brewery, in the heart of the City of London.

With over 500 delegates, speakers, and sponsors, GopherCon UK aims to deliver fantastic up-to-date content about Go programming and related technologies in a comfortable and professional setting. There are countless networking opportunities to engage with international speakers and delegates, making the event one you won't want to miss.

Tickets

GopherCon UK is a full featured conference and ticket prices include all of the following:

  • Entrance to all keynotes and conference sessions

  • Breakfast, lunch, 2 cake & coffee breaks
  • All day access to the exhibit hall and delegate lounge

Please note: an extra ticket is required to attend workshops training on Wednesday.

Anyone is welcome to attend the conference, whether you're a professional, hobbyist, manager, or just starting out, there's something for everyone.
GopherCon UK operates a Code of Conduct and we encourage all delegates to read it before attending the conference.

Managing Director

Sam is co-founder of Digital Agency, Copia Digital. Sam and his team build websites and web applications for asset managers and companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, helping them report on performance to their investors.

Matt handles most of the logistics for our events, coordinating with external suppliers such as the AV and furniture teams. He is also a keen photographer so you may see him around the conference taking pictures.

Blue is a key member of our event's team, taking charge of logistics and communications with all parties involved from our speakers and sponsors to the AV team and venue staff. With attention to detail, she ensures that everything is ready for the big day and the event is a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone attending. On the day, you'll find her at the registration desk answering our delegates' questions, managing the event's timings and liaising with our sponsors.

Megan is responsible for managing the marketing efforts for our three events, ensuring that they attract a wide range of speakers and sponsors as well as the right developer audience from across the world. She also assists Blue with organising and coordinating each event. At the conference, you'll find Megan busy live tweeting, capturing visual content and liaising with our delegates, speakers, sponsors and venue staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.
